First festival season in the new orphanage in Nepal, in the Annapurna mountain region near Pokhara

After the new earthquake-proof orphanage in the Annapurna mountain region near Pokhara was largely completed and occupied this year, the festival season began.

The Dashain festival at the end of October and the Dipwali/Tihar festival in November – both culturally important festivals in Nepal and a time when rice is harvested and there are school vacations. The first festival season in the new home!

The children and staff are beginning to settle in, and preparing for the festivals together helps to create an even greater sense of connection and gratitude. The rainy season is over, the flowers are growing, plans for the further expansion of the house and the improvement of conditions are beginning to take shape and the sun is shining in more ways than one!
