Every year, our two managing directors make it a point to visit Luang Prabang in Laos. Anna Schulz-Dornburg and Gertraud Leimstättner not only focus on the children’s hospital there, but also visit a school. In January, they visited a school class in the village surroundings of Luang Prabang and donated notebooks and pens. It was a very touching experience for us to see the curious and creative children!
This project close to Moving Child’s heart continues to grow and develop. After the earthquake-proof new orphanage building in the Annapurna mountain region near Pokhara was largely completed and occupied in 2023, work continued to expand the home and improve conditions. More children could be admitted – how wonderful that there is such important support for children in need!
The year 2024 was characterized by terrible events in the wake of wars. The greatest victims of these crises are children. They are the most vulnerable among us and are also unable to experience their childhood under these circumstances. Almost all of the projects we support, whether in terms of education, health, crisis intervention or refugee aid, have made an incredible effort. They have provided these children with the most basic necessities locally and tried to be a safe haven in Germany.
