May festival of the MiBiKids association in Freising
The traditional May festival of the MiBiKids e.V. association recently took place at St. Georg Haus in Freising. Moving Child also took part. The party was opened by the chairman Samuel Fosso.
The association was particularly pleased that so many MiBiKids children and their families came to the May festival.
A total of around 130 MiBiKids took part in the festival together with the group leaders, representatives from politics, supporters of the association and school principals and teachers.
The first item on the agenda was a short presentation by Ursula Seidensticker, deputy chairwoman of the association, on the facts and highlights of the last school year. She was particularly pleased that MiBiKids e.V. is now able to support over 310 children and 11 mothers in the district of Freising. This is only possible thanks to the many volunteer group leaders.
Alexandra Schweiger then gave an overview of the association’s finances and expressed her sincere thanks to all those who support the association, who have made it possible to bring 2023 to a successful financial close.
Special highlights of the afternoon were the performances by the MiBiKids children, who expressed their linguistic talent in songs and stories. Stefanie Pellmaier’s string trio provided the musical accompaniment for the event. As every year, the MiBiKids parents took care of the physical well-being and spoiled the guests with typical national specialties at the international buffet. The participants in the MiBiKids courses come from over 40 different countries and so the buffet was able to inspire with many different dishes and flavors.
In addition, there was a colorful program at the games and painting table for the children to reward themselves for their hard work practicing and learning German during the school year. As the afternoon progressed, more and more brightly painted faces could be seen and many children had their faces imaginatively painted by Valentina Panzeri.
A very successful afternoon together!
