Participation-oriented aftercare at AKM
Moving Child has already supported the Foundation Ambulantes Kinderhospiz Munich (AKM) in various areas in recent years. Now we are supporting the area of participation-oriented aftercare. Therapeutic experiences, excursions, mothers’ and fathers’ groups, sibling days, a summer holiday program and much more enable those affected to exchange ideas and come together. The families can draw strength and energy for their challenging everyday lives from these positive moments.
Two new projects in Cape Town, South Africa
Vulamasango and the European support association Positiv Leben e.V. offer children from socially difficult backgrounds safety from the dangers of the townships as well as education, sport, art and information. Moving Child supports Vulamasango in the construction of the soccer pitch and the garden. An important sub-project at Vulamasango is Vulingoma: the children’s and youth choir. The music therapy work helps to process traumas and develop mental strength.
Well construction for the Yene elementary school in Senegal
We are delighted to be able to support a new project by InFa-Intern. Familienhilfe Senegal. InFa e.V. approached us with the wish to build a deep well and toilets for the elementary school in Yene. The elementary school is attended by 670 pupils who currently have no running water. The water is transported to the school in horse-drawn carts. There are two toilets that are in great need of renovation. This will change now …
